Trump expects a Tuesday New York arrest.

Former President Donald Trump said Saturday he expects to be arrested in the yearslong investigation

into a hush money scam involving adult film actress Stormy Daniels and urged his fans to protest.

Trump, alluding to himself, said the "leading Republican candidate and

former president of the United States will be arrested on Tuesday of next week" in a social media post.

He did not explain why. After Trump's post, his team stated prosecutors hadn't notified them.

CNN's John Miller said Friday that city, state, and federal law enforcement authorities in New York City

have been meeting all week regarding Trump's prospective prosecution.

“Protest, take our nation back,” he wrote Saturday, echoing Trump's 2020 election calls to action.

Many sources told CNN that the former president wants his team to whip up his base and believes an indictment will help him politically.
