Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that there is a new tight end for the Houston Texans.
The action was taken the day after Houston signed Dallas wide receiver Noah Brown to a one-year contract and
the Texans dealt Brandin Cooks to the Cowboys in exchange for fifth and sixth round picks.
The Texans have strengthened their pass-catching group by adding Schultz
as a weapon for the incoming rookie quarterback next month.
The Texans should significantly improve after signing Schultz, a rookie who is a reliable option in the middle.
Houston used O.J. Howard and Jordan Akins at the position last year.
Schultz will now be in charge of the tight end group, which also includes Teagan Quitoriano and Brevin Jordan.
