Adam Schenk wants his first PGA Tour win. One of the longest-drained putts ever pushed him
on the brink of that breakthrough Sunday afternoon at the Valspar Tournament.
Schenk faced 70 feet for birdie at Innishbrook's short par-4 12th, where he was one under and
tied for the lead with Jordan Spieth. Two-putting on baked greens would have been difficult.
Schenk improved, dropping the hammer from afar to lead:
PGA Tour stats show Schenk's longest putt (although, oddly, just the seventh-longest on tour this year).
Schenk celebrated that putt with a finger in the air, but not as well as the fan who threw a drink at the flag,
which confused Spieth's caddie, Michael Greller: Schenk may never forget his putt if he holds on.
